We had a wonderful stay here. The location is close to bus stops, grocery shopping, trails and great restaurants. Elio took great care of our needs while in this TLA. Any time we couldn’t figure something out or needed advice on things locally, he was quick to respond. His team is professional and friendly. The apartment is spacious and has a beautiful view of the city. Beds were comfortable and the home was stocked with everything you would need. It has its own Parking spot which was also great. Having the car come with the TLA was a big plus for our family. It was a 10 minute drive to the Kaiserslautern schools if you have kids. We have zero complaints. Would definitely recommend this TLA.

Stayed for 13 days with my wife and with our small chihuahua. Michael was very accommodating. Easy to deal with… the place is very nice, clean and quite. Close to downtown and Kaufland is just a cross the street if you need some last minute groceries. I highly recommend this place.

Moving to Germany is a HUGE ordeal. Do yourself a favor and let Michael and Elio at Kaiserslautern TLA-TDY Apartments make your move a little bit easier. They were very easy to work with. The apartment (#6) was clean, modern, comfortably furnished and supplied with everything I needed! They even supplied a car to use throughout the stay, thus eliminating an extra expense and complication of a rental. The location of the apartment is walking distance to Kaufland grocery store and a 15 min walk to the big shopping and restaurant part of K-Town. This is a good location with easy access to all the local KMC military bases. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while I got my bearings in Germany and settled into my new job and life here. Thank you Michael and Elio for everything.

With the exception of the bellhop not taking my luggage up to the penthouse on Leiperzigstrasse’ It was 1st.class, experience, from roomy living and sleeping areas to well stocked supplies, phone to the states, or local AND, a newer car to get around . Michael, and Elio,,make you feel right at home. Great job guys.

This was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed; everything was great, the location, the amenities, and they even had a car they would let you use while staying there. Be careful, though; there are hidden speed cameras everywhere. Lol, ask me how I know. (Thank you, Michael for taking care of that.)

I’m appreciative of Michael and Elio; both answered all of my questions as it related to different things throughout this process. They both have top-notch customer service.

Lastly, I would like to recommend them highly; you will not be disappointed.

Great clean apartment, clean bed sheets, plenty of clean towels and toilet paper. My kids beds even had a stuffed animals. Each room had fans and couple extras, the kitchen had plenty of cook wear, dishes cups plates silverware and things to heat up water and food. The apartment is in the heart of k-town so everything you need is in walking distance. They provided us with a reliable vehicle which helped a lot getting things done. The tenant was very attentive, and helpful he was on top of everything we needed. We stayed there 24 days and had no issues. Tv and free wifi what more do you need.

Apt. 5, (Dec. 2021 – Jan. 2022)

Stayed here for about 45 days. The apartment is centrally located there a pharmacy/ groceries within a 5 min walk. Your not far from downtown you can actually walk there is your trying to get out and exercise. The apartment came with a free car which saved me 45 days worth of money that I would have spent on a rental. The internet in the apartment was good I was able ito stream all my shows on my Netflix with no issues. It’s was also ver close to Kleber and Panzer in one direction and vogelweh in the other. Would 100 percent recommend this place for temporary stay while your looking for your permanent home.

Great apartment, very well maintained and centrally located near Kaiserslautern downtown. Car was included with the rental which saved a lot of money and was crucial to getting evertything done after arriving to Germany. Michael, Elio, and the rest of the team were very user friendly and quick to respond to any concerns. Even had a cleaning service come in halfway through the stay. Highly recommend!

Seriously. Look at how gorgeous that huge mirror is. The apartment is a house or little mansion. It’s so homey and kid / dog proof. I could lock them in house and they wouldn’t tear anything up. Now here is the best part……….. downtown is a 5 min walk and there is a grocery across the street. Ok ok let me tell you about the rental that came with it. Yes sir’ got to park everywhere with ease. Perfect car for Germany. This is a must get place. Even for a get away with the spouse etc. Michael and his team and so kind. They are so freaken awesome. 3rd time in Germany and this by far was better than any hotel i have ever been to.

Not sure where to start. The apartment was beautiful, well supplied with towels, kitchen equipment, blankets, and so on. It was close to downtown, and easy to access the places I need to be. Michael was awesome, very patient and customer focused. if I return to Germany, the first thing I will do is see if this place is available again. Can’t recommend it strongly enough.

Michael and Elio are fabulous! Elio brought me to the apartment from across town. Michael is creative, knowledgeable, and focused on helping find a good solution for your particular situation. I only wish I had started my TLA adventure here, but I am glad to have wrapped it up here.

My spouse and I truly enjoyed our stay the area is ideal and offers supermarkets, public transportation and fast food locations are within walking distance to include Vogelweh military community. The staff are incredibly friendly and speak English as well as German. We would highly recommend this TLA/TDY dwelling to new arrivals as well as those departing as temporary quarters.

Apt. 9, (Dec-Feb 2021)

I was a bit skeptical about this place as we all know things are not as though they are advertised. THIS WAS DIFFERENT! From the time I first spoke with the host, to meeting Eoli and viewing the apartment I WAS BLOWN AWAY! The pictures did this place no justice. It felt like home. Eloi was amazing and Michael was always available. Although I did not encounter any problems at all, when I needed to communicate with them, there was no lag or miscommunication. The vehicle that was made available by the host was icing on the cake. I honestly did not want to leave. Also, there was housekeeping! I didn’t need it much but even still, it was appreciated. The apartment was equipped with everything I needed! There was nothing I lacked at all! I was so pleased with my stay and I would totally recommend this place to anyone. Every single detail was well planned and certainly had the traveler in mind!

Apt. 8, (Jan 2021)

Maybe the easiest 5-star review I’ve ever offered. I’ve lived in two of their apartments, and both were modern, well-equipped with everything you need, clean, and comfortable. On top of that, Michael is a class act, speaks English better than I do, and has been a pleasure to work with. His supporting staff are also fabulous. Highly recommended!

Apt. 5 and Apt. 2, (Jan and Feb 2021)

This apartment was wonderful to stay in! It was very clean and had all the amenities you might need. Michael and his colleagues were very responsive to questions and were very accommodating of me and my family.
I would highly recommend staying with Kaiserslautern TLA TDY Apartments!
Stefanie Araya

Apt. 5, (Dez. 2020/Jan. 2021)

A very comfortable TLA choice! It gave our family a nice home like feeling during a very turbulent transition. Michael makes it all work, regardless of the COVID-19 challenges. It can be hard to get all of the paperwork done, and the over perfumed smell from the extra cleaning was a little overwhelming. It is understandable with the current challenges though.

The use of a free car was the perfect icing on top! It took a huge worry off my shoulders.

Michael is very easy to work with, cares about your comfort and safety. I would absolutely stay in one of his TLA properties again.

Apt. 10, ( Oct/Nov 2020)

I stayed at Apartment #3 for 2 months and would have stayed longer if I could have!! The apartment is wonderful! Newly renovated so every thing is brand new. Although this is only a 1 bedroom, it is a big apartment with plenty of room for a small family. The full sized, modern kitchen has everything you need from home. All the usual appliances plus a huge counter top area with seating on the opppsite side, which is open to the dining and living areas. A perfect setup for having friends over or family gathered around. No problems with free Wifi, it worked great. There is a half bath with a full sized washer and dryer to make your life easier! Literally everything you need is already there, just add clothes and you’re ready!
The bedroom is big and the ensuite bathroom is perfect with a huge walk in shower! The apartment is in the perfect spot in downtown K-Town. Kaufland grocery store is right outside the front door. Easy to get pretty much anywhere in downtown on foot. Parking is never a problem, there are always available spaces a very short distance from the apartment.
The location gives quick easy access to Pulaski, Vogelweh and Semach. Ramstein is only 15 minutes away.
Michael is a great host, fluently speaks English, is always available and responds quickly. I can easily recommend this apartment and any properties which Michael owns as I am confident they are all just as wonderful as this one!! You won’t be disappointed!

Apt. 8, (Oct. 2020)

The apartment was cozy and had everything we needed! The couch was very comfortable which was a major plus considering the long trip our family just had. I feel for the people that had to quarantine at on base lodging because our experience didn’t even feel like a quarantine. Endless amenities along with the perfect level of comfort made it feel like our home away from home.

Highly recommend to anyone PCS’ing in or out of Germany!

Apt. 8, (Aug./Sept. 2020)

The home was furnished and provided adequate space for our young family of four. Michael was easily to work with, communicated promptly and even provided a car for us to use included in the TLA cost. On-site, free laundry was a huge life saver to maintain clean clothes for the week+ we were there.

Apt. 1, (September 2020)

It isn’t everyday that you find yourself needing a place to stay. PCSing into KMC and staying in a TLF has been very pleasant thanks to Michael and his team, Elio is the best at personal attention, Mrs. Anna keeps the apartment spic and span clean, and Mr. Jose troubleshoots any issue you encounter quickly. Michael has ensured his guest feel at home…..literally. I will miss Maizner 4 Straße apartment 10. It is beautifully furnished and has all necessary items to feel at home. The location is awesome. The bonus was the lender car. I was able to get to and from work without breaking my wallet in cabs. Thank you Michael for your hospitality and professionalism. I appreciate your team very much.

Apt. 10, (Sept and Oct 2020)

Great TLA. Walkable to Kaiserslautern city center. Although on busy ave in city, you will not hear the traffic from the bedroom. The Kaufland Market is right across the street, Kamgarden five to minute walk (great pizza) and about 10 minutes from Vogelweh by car. Property management was great by providing an A/C for apartment during summer. Highly recommend if you are single or couple on PCS and with dog. Apartment is very beautiful inside and everything is new and in excellent condition.

Rachel Doran

Apt. 4, (August and September 2020)

Mr. Michael and Elio were amazing people. My family after our 14 day quarantine, became very overwhelmed, looking for a place to reside. Upon contacting Michael, he was very flexible, supportive, and very military friendly. I admire the fact that he responded to emergencies within the minutes upon contact. That freed my family of all headaches. Great team, great appartment; nicely decorated for the military to feel safe and at home.
I really appreciated my stay at this apartment and will definitely reach out to Michael and Elio, should I need a place to stay within the German community with my family. Oh don’t worry about the price, its very affordable as compared to others. There are only modern things in the house: Couch, TV, and fully furnished kitchen, etc. The free Vehicle really helped in so many ways.
I will recommend this place for all military folks with family who needs a place to logde until they find a house or apartment.

God richly bless Michael and Elio for thier time, flexibility, support, and most importantly, their friendship.

Apt. 1, (Sept. 2020)

Michael takes extreme pride in ensuring that his customers are well taken care of. My apartment was well prepared for my stay with everything from a washer and dryer to a pizza slice. He keeps everything in top notch condition and has an excellent cleaning service. His flexibility with dates and arrangements is unmatched here in Germany as is his customer service. He makes everything simple for the customer from check in to check out. He is familiar with the entire process and assists in navigating through it. Having a car immediately available in the garage saves a lot of money and time when you get here. His cars are just like his apartments, well maintained, clean, and reliable. You will NOT find a better place to stay.

Apt. 9, (July-August 2020)

SUPER ACCOMMODATIONS! Super CLEAN, super COURTEOUS and super COMMUNICATIVE! We moved to Germany from the U.S. and with it being our first overseas move this company is one main reason we already felt “at home” in a very new environment. The apartment we had (Apt 5) is a SPACIOUS short-term living space that was at an IDEAL LOCATION (installation, shopping, walking trails). The owner speaks excellent ENGLISH if you don’t know German and is extremely responsive and helpful. Not having to worry about transportation as well as being able to do laundry in the comfort of your TLA was a huge life-saver for the 3 months we stayed in lodging! With all the stress of moving overseas picking an excellent short-term accommodation is critical to reducing your headaches — I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Michael’s apartments!!!

Apt. 5, (May-Aug. 2020)

Michael made it very easy for my stay. I had to continue to make changes to my check in date due to the travel ban and he was very flexible with me. Since day one Michael provided me everything I need and the car definitely helped me getting around with work and enjoying the town. The apartment was very clean and came with everything and more. They helped me by telling me what stores are near me for food. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody any time.

Ricardo Romero

Apt. 8, (July and August 2020)

I stayed for about five months on a long term TDY. I loved it. My apartment was fully furnished and was recently remodeled. It’s within walking distance of Kaufland and a little bit further is an Aldi. Michael included a car for the price and it was at per diem lodging rate the entire time. I had a laundry facility on site, fully furnished kitchen, and apartment with two bedrooms and baths. He was very friendly, is excellent in English, and very responsive. I’ve left his card with the office I was supporting so others can receive his service and I wish him the best and all of my support. I couldn’t have been happier and will definitely stay if I have to go to Ramstein again.

Apt. 2, (March-July 2020)

This is the place to be for those coming to Kaiserslautern. Michael and the staff made me feel very welcomed into Germany. The unit in which I stayed in, (36 Rauschenweg) was very accommodating as it was not too far from A6 and the downtown area. The unit was move-in ready before my arrival, very clean, fast WiFi (internet), and included a car, which made my transition into Germany very seamless. Aside from the unit itself, my overall experience doing business with Michael deserves 5+ stars. Michael willingly accommodates his customers to ensure that their stay here is beyond enjoyable, as he makes himself available to the needs of his customers. The customer service here is unmatched and exceeded my expectations, as this will not be the case everywhere you go in Germany, or anywhere else for that matter. If any issues should arise during your stay here, I rest assure that it will get addressed quickly. You are getting your money’s worth staying here and I highly recommend staying here or other available units when coming to Kaiserslautern.

Amazing apartments!! I stayed for almost 5 months while I was in Germany TDY. They are fully furnished with everything you could need. A cleaning service comes every 2 weeks to deep clean as well. Also some apartments come with a free car to drive.
Michael is great to work with!! HE accepts GTC with no problem. And has WhatsApp if you only have data to communicate.
I highly recommend!!!!

Apt. 9, (Jan. and Feb. 2020)

Choosing to live and work overseas can be an exciting and rewarding adventure for an American. However, many who make that choice are not prepared for cultural differences. Without understanding cultural differences, the abroad experience can sometimes be discouraging and challenging due to expectations of customer service practices. This situation can have a negative impact for those that fail to do their homework.

Having done several tours in Germany and a somewhat understanding of the culture, I am familiar with what to expect when eating in Restaurants, shopping and business in general on the German Economy. However, I must admit, I was not prepared for what I experienced after recently accepting an overseas assignment in Germany.

After arriving in country mid-December of 2019 my wife and I obtained a rental car and drove from Frankfurt to Kaiserslautern to meet Michael the Landlord of our new temporary, (TLA) dwelling which we had booked online and anticipated having to occupy for at least 30 days but possibly up to 90 days depending on how long it would take to find a permanent dwelling. After arriving, Michael met us and showed the accommodations of his place. He presented himself as friendly, personable, approachable and very helpful. After a complete review of guidelines and the accommodations Michael proceeded to tell us a little about the area to include recommending places to eat and shop. We were immediately impressed with the amenities Michael offered with the place. In addition to being equipped with a full kitchen a microwave, dishes, coffee pot, water cooker, silverware, towels, bedding, two large storage closets for clothing and other items, washer and dryer, free phone calls both Germany and Stateside, Wi-Fi, cable TV, weekly cleaning service, and to top off the deal a car to use until ours arrived. In short, all the comforts of home and then some; unbelievable! His place was located next to a major grocer, less than a minute’s walk away. In addition, there were several take-out imbiss style eateries in the vicinity, also less than a minute’s walk, a major shopping mall six minutes from the dwelling. I’m not sure if this resulted from experience or forethought, but Michael seems to have thought of everything. For example, a lock box with a code in the event you are locked out of the place, and his phone number in the event anything was needed.

I must say, in 35 years of traveling, both during my Military Career and Civilian Service, we have not experienced Michaels brand of excellent customer service. What he offers stands up against any top of the line long stay accommodations venue. This was an awesome experience and I would recommend Michael’s services to anyone. His customer service and people skills are top notch. Great work Michael and team, and keep up the awesome customer service.

I will like to Thanks Mr. Michael Uhrig for his hospitality and courtesy. The apartment it was up the chart. I recommend Kaiserslautern TLA-TDY to everyone coming to KMC area needing a temporary place to stay, very family oriented and his apartments are great. Thank you for what you do making us feel at home away from home. Th as no bbn you Michael.

Apartment 5, (Dec. 2019 – January 2020)

I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone needing a TLA. Being brand new to TLA and the procedures, Michael made it stress free and was very flexible. He ensured I had a welcoming stay and was very attentive to my concerns. Michael speaks English very fluently and was extremely easy to communicate with.

The apartment was exactly as I pictured and more. Michael has English information addressing everything from Internet to trash procedures. All necessities were provided such as pots and pans to washer and dryer. Towels were plentiful and housekeeping came every two weeks. The apartment was clean and much more worthwhile than a stay on post. I requested a car with my stay which made it a much more convenient stay.

Michael is hard working, understand the TLA process, and he really makes the Deutschland transition easy.

I would recommend him highly and I will be back once my stay is over here in Germany!

Apartment 4, (January 2020)

Michael is so accommodating and friendly. The car he provided was spotless and helped me out tremendously during my PCS. The apartment itself was spotless and had a homey feel to it. Additionally, he promptly responds to any questions or concerns you have. I recommend to all my friends

Apartment 9, (Dec.2019/Jan 2020)

My wife and I stayed for 2 months in the two bedroom apartment on Pariser Strasse. It was a great stay. Very clean and everything was nice and in working order. Mr. Uhrig took care of everything. We were able to schedule the arrival via email from Hawaii. As an American moving to a foreign country is can be very stressful. It was nice to have someone who was easy to talk with and not trying to take advantage of you. The rent was below Per Diem even when the Per Diem drops after 30 days. He also provided a loaner car. That also saves Americans money, who are expected to pay everything up front and file for reimbursement. That cost can easily reach over $10,000.00 in the first month. There is a fire place in the apartment but it is an antique, not for use. Mr. Uhrig makes it super easy and convenient to pay the rent. He understands the VAT requirements and has a process that is detailed and efficient. He is fluent in English and was very nice to talk to. There is maid service that comes every other week. Location is pretty good. Grocery store across the street and a Thai Imbiss a 20 second walk. A good pizza place with great calzones just two doors down. I am glad we chose to stay here.

Apartment 2, ( September 2019)

Me and my family ( a total of 4 ) stayed at apt 3 Pariser Str. for almost a month while we waited for our rental home. The apartment was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The location was perfect, about 9 min walk to the train station and quite a few food options in the area. Car was provided with rental same day we arrived, which saved us a butt load of money. Discount mart Kaufland is across the street in case you need anything. Also local mall “Primark” is located within short walk distance. Also i found a six pack of German beer in the fridge along with refreshments and chips! When i finaly picked my POV and parked it on the street i got a parking citation. Michael payed my parking ticket and even provided me with a printed receipt for my record. He also explained to me some parking rules of Kaiserslautern. If I could could rent a house from him I would. When we leave, I hope we will be able to stay with him again if you choose this one! I totally recommend this place.
Michael danke für alles. Solange du maximal warst, wurden wir Freunde. Ich empfehle Ihre Unterkunft für alle, einschließlich meiner Referenz für Nordamerikaner. Du bist einfach super.

Apartment 3, ( July 2019)

This apartment was really nice for our family to stay in when we first arrived in Germany. It was so nice to resume some of our normal life after such a long trip. The house was comfortable and furnished with everything we could need to be comfortable. There was also a playground outside for our daughter to play at every day. Thanks for letting us stay here and giving us a great start to our new life in Germany.

Apartment 8, ( July 2019)

The apartment is modern and full of all the comforts of home. Apartment 4 is right across the street from a great grocery store. Parking is always easy right nearby. Michael is extremely communicative and quick to respond and help in any way he can. He definitely went above and beyond what a normal “landlord” would do for a tenant! The apartment is also only about 7 minutes from Vogelweh, 10 from Pulaski gate, and ~20 from Ramstein AB east gate. Super convenient!

The wifi is quick and the apartment is excellent! I have already and will continue to pass this location along to all other friends who are traveling to Germany for work! Thanks again Michael!

Apartment 4, (April – July 2019)

Stayed with Kaiserslautern TLA TDY Apartments for over 20 days in November 2018 when I first arrived in Germany. Apartment #4 was newly renovated, had high speed internet/WiFi, big screen tv, washer and dryer provided, and a car was included for my stay. Check in and out was really easy and the apartment was priced under TLA rate. Owner spoke English fluently and was available for any questions I had. I have recommended these apartments to other incoming Soldiers to my unit and would highly recommend to anyone reading this.

Apartment 4, (November 2018)

We are a family of 4 with a small dog. Our boisterous littles were free to play in this 2 bedroom apartment as well as having the convenience of an enclosed back yard for the kids and dog. The lowest level apartment proved to keep very cool while summer temps soared over 100 F. The yard had a variety of fruit bearing trees my daughters delighted in picking. The staff was cordial while allowing our privacy. The cleaning crew was swift and thorough. Washer dryer on site saved my life. Minutes walk from the famous Dino park for daily entertainment and a deluxe supermarket across the street. There’s no doubt in my mind we made the best choice!

Apartment 3, (June / July 2019)

We stayed with Michael for almost 45 days while we waited for our rental home. We were the first to stay in this newly renovated apartment. Everything was new and clean. There were a few quirks to ironed out since we were the first to stay there but Michael was very expedite in fixing anything that came up. If I could could rent a house from him I would. When we leave, I hope we will be able to stay with him again. He also gave a free car with the rental, which saved us a butt load of money. I totally recommend this place.

My wife and I stayed here for 10 nights while we were moving back to the states. It can have 2 adults and 2 kids (1 twin sized bed each). We stayed in apartment #3 and everything was perfect for us. It’s on the first floor and is right across the street from a massive grocery store by German standards. We also used the car which was fine for our purposes, but don’t expect a luxury vehicle. Communication was easy and frequent. It’s about 20 minutes to most of the military bases in the area. Would definitely recommend for anyone PCSing in trying to get their bearings or anyone PCSing out.

This good sized apartment accommodation was perfect for my family of 4 and small dog. We didn’t feel like were cramped on top of each other for the weeks pending our home getting squared away in the area. The equipped kitchen-and access to a grill on the hot days- kept per diem costs down so we weren’t worried about using our TLA. I was able to keep up on laundry, let our dog roam in the fenced garden while the girls picked a variety of berries in the morning. The staff were all very friendly and personable while tolerating our noise and respecting our privacy. I’ve PCS’d over seas before and the time spent in TLA in inherently stressful- I can say that this was our easiest transition yet, largely due to our comfortable atmosphere here.

Thanks again for letting me utilize apartment #3 for my extended stay in Germany. It met my needs perfectly.

To anyone considering apartment #3,

The location is the by far the best thing about it. You cannot beat being within walking distance of everything K-town has to offer. Having a supermarket across the street was simply priceless on numerous occasions! They even make some pretty good food themselves if you’re strapped for time or want an easy dinner. Parking was easier than I thought it would be. There was always a spot available very close by. Michael was a fantastic host who communicated effectively and ensured all my questions were answered in a timely manner. No matter the issue, Michael would have it fixed by the end of the day and his record keeping when it comes to receipts and VAT forms needed for military is exceptional!

Awesome TDY stay! Thanks Michael!

Perfect! The experience was designed with the PCS’ing family in mind! Michael provided an on-target product, from design to execution. The moment we contacted him, he called (speaking perfect English) to ascertain our needs, and confirm his service was a good match. He was understanding of our timeline changes, and was able to meet us at the apartment with short notice when we arrived early. The apartment was exactly as we hoped it would be, and the use of a car was invaluable. Perhaps what best sums up the experience was when Michael told us, “You are PCS’ing, and I am here to help you—we are a team.” Time and again, Michael backed these words with action, resulting in a perfectly smooth transition for our family. Use the easy button—call Michael!

Dear Mr Uhrig,

We wanted to let you know that we were very grateful to be able to spend our first month in Germany in the TLA apartment you have in Kaiserslautern. It really helped to make the transition to Germany much easier, and a lot less stressful than it would have been otherwise.

The apartment had everything we needed to take care of the family, and to get us settled in Germany: Internet, a phone we could use to call the US and locally, TV, washer/dryer, space for the kids, and a kitchen with everything you’d need. It was so nice to have everything all set up when we first arrived, it was one less headache to deal with while we in-processed and got settled.

We also really enjoyed being able to walk downtown in the evenings after work, the location is great, and it’s also very close to Vogelweh, which makes it very convenient. (We actually kind of miss the apartment now that we are living further away from town and can’t walk there as easily!)

I think the thing that helped us out the most is the fact that you had a car available to use for two weeks when we arrived. The car was invaluable. The in-processing at Ramstein requires driving between three different installations, so having a car is a necessity. It saved us a ton of money to not have to rent a car, and allowed us to find houses to rent, do some shopping and get through in-processing much more quickly this way.

We also wanted to thank you for being very flexible and accommodating, especially when working around the start of our permanent housing lease, which seemed to change a few times unexpectedly. It was a pleasure working with you, and we have made sure to inform others about the apartment for when they PCS.

Thank you again for all of your help!

As a teacher, I have high expectations for everything and boy was I not disappointed. Living in Michael Uhrig’s temporary living accommodations in the Kaiserslautern area was exceptional.

When I was PCSing from Sembach, I was very fortunate to find Michael Uhrig’s apartments in Kaiserslautern (close to a huge grocery store, pharmacy, and bus line to the inner city of Kaiserslautern). Being so close to Kaiserslautern, I was able to shop with ease at the large German shopping mall and the pedestrian shopping streets.

Arriving or leaving Germany is stressful for anyone. Living in a comfortable apartment, with German/English assistance is essential. To anyone that is arriving or leaving Ramstein, Kaiserslautern, or Sembach I recommend Mr. Uhrig, and his apartments, highly.

As for the two bedroom apartment — I could not be more pleased. I had two lovely bedrooms, fully supplied kitchen, dining area, modern bathrooms with both a tub and shower, lots of towels, sheets, blankets, and pillows. The comfortable apartment felt like a ‘home away from home’. I could not be more pleased.

Doing laundry was a breeze as there was a washer and dryer to use whenever I wished. In the apartment there was free WIFI, free International calling to the states, and exceptional internet access.
I used my Netflix account, so I even got my English movie ‘fix’ daily.

The landlord, Mr. Uhrig, was only a phone call away. He was extremely supportive (even providing me with a parking permit from the city for my car). His English is superb and he helped me with German language issues and translated letters for me. His assistance was greatly appreciated. I don’t think I could have made it through the PCS move without his daily help. No emergency was too small — Mr. Uhrig was there to help!

Micheal, the landlord is very friendly and flexible on all the requests! For us it was the most easy and comfortable transition in such stressful time. Not only is the location perfect, the apartment is equipped with everything necessary. For the duration of our stay, the landlord provided us a car, free of charge! Thank you Michael!

Need a TLA that feels like a home – not a hotel? You can find one in Michael Uhrig’s first floor TLA apartment located in K Town! First Floor, Two Bedrooms, Kitchen, TV Room and One Bath….with all the amenities and then some. You can do your own laundry in the first floor laundry area and you can truly enjoy the outdoors sitting on the patio grillin’ and chillin’! A grocery store is conveniently located across the street as well as Take Out Thai! Your host, Michael is very accommodating and can arrange it all including helping you obtain a street parking pass! My last few weeks in Germany were truly stress-free as my accommodations were more than I could have hoped for – seriously a great place to stay and feel at home while transitioning!

Michael’s apartment was beautifully put together and absolutely amazing. It had everything we needed to make the transition to Germany quick and easy. My girlfriend and I actually had to try to find the amenities that were missing and anything we needed Michael provided within a day or two. The wifi was fast, the water pressure was great and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location was great, with a huge grocery store right across the street that’s open until 2200 most days. And even though the apartment is right on the edge Kaiserslautern, I rarely experience any traffic coming and going to Ramstein (about 20 minutes from door to door). There was even a gym within walking distance (High5 Gym) My girlfriend especially enjoyed the quick/responsive Smart TVs (we were able to log into our Netflix).

Apartment 4, (June 2018)

„The apartment is spacious and with a master bedroom king size bed and a separate bedroom with twin beds, which are separated by the dining room. One bathroom, kitchen, and living room. Thick doors to all rooms. We used the microwave and coffee maker all the time. Washer and dryer are in the building. Amazing how quiet the area most of time and especially at night, even with windows open. A supermarket is a block away. Parking on the street (wider than most streets) was 3 euros for 24 hours. Reasonable. The apartment has double pane windows and shutters. The TV has 500 channels with at least 10 English channels and the ability to record shows for viewing at a later time. The apartment has a telephone for free calls in Europe and USA. Very nice large flat screen TV in living room. The apartment is on the second story of a three story house, stairs as expected. Not very much traffic on wide street in front of row house. The area and row houses are will maintained and it is quiet neighborhood. As a recommendation, if renting an auto, rent a medium size or small size auto, better for driving around the city and German country side. The apartment was clean well decorated and plenty of towels. Should bring bath soap until you can go shopping. Full stand up shower in tub with shower curtains was nice. Nice full L shape sofa in front of the TV for comfort and relaxing at night. For me this apartment would be good for an extended stay. I will definitely stay at the apartment in the future. My family consists of two parents and 18 year old daughter. All very happy with the apartment. We stayed for 11 days in Kaiserslautern visiting Oma. Pleasant travels“

We throughly our stay! Michael was helpful & easy to chat too; for us, its a bonus his English is perfect. 😎 The flat is Spacious, Clean & Modern… and in the heart of Kaiserslautern. Everything is within walking distance; 5 minuets to groceries, 10 minuets to large shopping mall and local restaurants near the farmers market. We used the car in offer and it was great! This flat is a hidden gem… and Yes! We will be back.

Hello. We just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful stay at your TLA in Kaiserslautern. The location just blocks away from a big grocery store and bus stop made getting the basics we needed very easy. The apartment had everything from dishes to laundry supplies! The internet was very fast, we streamed our favorite Net flicks shows while we surfed the internet looking for places to visit, and being able to call the US for free made keeping our family back home in the states easy. we couldn’t have asked for more. Also we’d like to thank you for taking us to get the parking permit it really helped save money and time once we got a car.

We will absolutely recommend your place to any who might be looking for a TLA.

Thanks again we’ll keep in touch.

Cheers!

Great apartment setup! Michael was super to work with! I came to the KMC as a Reservist not knowing the housing situation. Michael had me covered for a place to stay on arrival and until I was able to find permanent housing. I stayed at the Pariserstrasse address and it had everything you could want and it was all brand new. It was a short walk to the walkplatz in K-town and a short 15 min drive to Ramstein. If the car is available, it is a great little stealth mobile to help you get around until you get your own car. I can’t say enough about how easy it was to work with Michael! Great guy!
(Good luck with Ramstein Housing, that’s another story)

To whom it may concern my family of 3 stayed in this apartment for 45 days and it felt just like home. We had all of the amenities that we had back in the United States ranging from Internet , cable, Washer Dryer, Full Kitchen, and Ironing board. The location is perfect due to the fact of the close proximity to the mall and within a few miles from all of the Military Installations in the area. Not to mention if any issues arise the management was quick to resolve any issues almost instantly. IF your looking to feel like home I truly recommend.

Just moved out from TLA apartment in Saenger Strasse in downtown Kaiserslautern. It was a wonderful stay for almost two months. The apartment is fully furnished. Well design. With WIFI. Pet friendly. Has parking space. Our landlord Michael and Thomas speaks very good English. Very helpful and was able to explain everything.

The apartment is situated in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Walking distance to grocery shopping, K-Lautern Mall, restaurants and just about 10 – 15 minute frive to Kleber Kaserne, Daenner, Vogelweh, Pulaski, Kapaun and ROB. (Rhine Ordnance Barracks) and the Autobahn.

I you’re new in Kaiserslautern, I would recommend this apartment.
